Some hosting providers restrict UDP traffic or block incoming ports. This can prevent your node from accepting connections.

Check if UDP traffic is allowed

MystNodes requires UDP connectivity to function.

If your provider blocks UDP:

  • Your node may show Monitoring failed

  • Sessions may not start or complete

Common restrictions

Some providers:

  • Allow only specific ports

  • Block most or all UDP traffic

  • Restrict incoming connections by default

What you can do

1. Check provider firewall settings

  • Review your provider’s firewall or security group settings

  • Ensure UDP traffic is allowed

  • Allow a range of ports if required

2. Test different UDP ports

Some providers block specific ports.

Try allowing or testing a wider UDP range if possible.

3. Contact your provider

Ask:

  1. Are inbound UDP ports allowed?

  2. Are there any restrictions on peer-to-peer traffic?

Important

  1. MystNodes requires UDP connectivity

  2. If UDP is blocked, the node will not function correctly

  3. TCP-only environments are not supported

Recommendation

  1. Use hosting providers that allow unrestricted UDP traffic

  2. Avoid providers with strict firewall or NAT limitations
