Multiple nodes on a single IP address

Mysterium Network does not support running multiple nodes on the same IP address.

Doing so can negatively affect your internet connection quality, reduce node stability, and ultimately degrade the overall performance of the network.

Why It Doesn’t Work

  • Each node must be associated with a unique public IP address.

  • Unless you have multiple routers, each providing a separate public IP, running multiple nodes on the same IP is not possible.

What Happens If You Try?

If multiple nodes are launched under the same IP:

  • Only one node will have its service proposal accepted by the network.

  • All other nodes from the same IP will be ignored and shown as offline on mystnodes.com.

  • No traffic will be routed through the additional nodes, and they will not earn rewards.

Best Practice

If you're interested in operating multiple nodes, ensure each one is connected through a different public IP address. This usually requires:

  • Separate routers with different WAN IPs

  • Hosting nodes in different locations or using cloud providers with unique IPs
